What's Inside?

Intel Core Ultra 7 255H

Lowest Laptop Price Found: $1249.00 | Average Laptop Price: $1634.03

Intel Core Ultra series is the newer, stronger, and more efficient Core i series - and enhanced with AI.
The '7' CPU is the gold standard for performance and multitasking, offering great speed at a reasonable price.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050

Lowest Laptop Price Found: $899.00 | Average Laptop Price: $1459.10

The 5050 card is for when a dedicated graphics card is needed, but not for heavy use. For reference, it still underperforms the 4060 - last generation's card only one tier higher.
The 5000 series the latest generation of NVIDIA GPUs. Interestingly, they're only an average of ~9% more performant than last generation.

12 GB of RAM

12 GB of RAM is a really odd design decision, and usually only found in Lenovo LOQs. Regardless of it's strange split, it still doesn't meet the 16 GB recommended minimum for modern computers.

512 GB SSD

512 GB is the bare minimum for modern storage needs, and it's highly uncomfortable to use since today's games can exceed 100 GB each. Upgrade to at least 1TB if you can.
The modern SSD is around 20-40x faster than conventional hard drives, and far more physically resilient.

15.3" IPS, (Full HD+ / WUXGA)

15" and 16" are the standard screen sizes, balancing portability and screen real estate.
IPS (In-Plane Switching) screens offer great viewing angles and color accuracy — and aren't too expensive.
